I hate work with a burning passion.
I hate work. I hate school. I hate everything that makes me have to think on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Why should I study for this stupid history test when it's 60 degrees and sunny outside? I don't feel like it! I wish I could throw all the textbooks in the world into a furnace and watch them burn.
That's not actually true, but I just felt the urge to rant about how I have to study for a test on Sunday afternoon. Oh, high school. :)

I slept in this morning?
Yesterday was quite a long day. I went to a math competition at Duke, which lasted until about 5 in the evening, then I went to a party. So I didn't end up going to sleep until about 10:45 yesterday night, about an hour later than usual. So what I did was, I slept in an hour this morning. I usually hate sleeping in late, but I usually need about 7.5 hours of sleeping to feel fine in the morning, so I did it anyways.
Oh yeah, if you're wondering what time I woke up this morning, it was 6:15 am.

November 11, 2011
Well, today is November 11, 2011, or 11/11/11, a date that will only occur once a century. So we'll all be gone the next time 11/11/11 happens. But anyways, at 11:11:11 today, I took a screen shot of the time and date.
Isn't that just amazing? I suppose every combination of date and time occurs exactly once a century, so there really shouldn't be anything special about this particular second. But still, all those ones...

Latest Dawn
Well it's Saturday, November 5, 2011, around 07:17 EDT, and it's just beginning to get bright outside. In fact, the official time of dawn was only a few minutes ago and the sun won't be rising for another twenty or so. It's a beautiful sight, the clear dark blue sky gradually getting lighter and lighter.
So I suppose I should explain the purpose of this blog. Well, I had originally owned a blog at this other website, but last month I decided to move it to a more "formal" blogging website, so to speak. Every now and then, I'll be posting a few events in my life I feel like sharing. Nobody reads this anyways, so I guess I'll just be posting things for my own enjoyment.

Sweet November
Glowing dim, in the night
Faintest sparkles of twilight
Soon the morning will dawn bright
And the sun will be in sight.
Morning sunshine strikes the trees
Leaves are falling in the breeze
Blackbirds sing and children sneeze
After an early morning freeze.
Ever higher climbs the sun
Till it makes its peak at one
People outside having fun
But soon this sweet day will be done.
Hours pass; now it's four
Leaves are falling more and more
Red and gold, they reach the floor
A gust of wind slams shut the door.
Shadows swallow up the place
As the sky turns dusky gray
Last speck of twilight fades away
Waiting for another day.

Soon the morning will dawn bright
